We’ve all had dates where we have wanted to scarper after three minutes; well speed dating makes that a reality! DING! Round one. Sat in front of you is a complete stranger and before they even say a word you have already formed some kind of judgement. You may not like their hair colour or you may be impressed by their shirt. The tiniest detail can be an instant deal breaker. We form opinions of people in a matter of seconds and we tend to stick to these gut reactions. This is why speed...

It’s that time of year again. Time to deck the halls, jingle those bells and wish goodwill to all men. Surely such a time can only bring happiness though? So Hollywood would have us believe! Christmas can certainly be magical but maybe it’s time to look beyond all that glistens, and consider why Christmas may not be the most wonderful time of the year for everyone.

There are many uses for duct tape besides using it on ducts. It's a must-have in any handyman's toolbox. It may also be the only thing next to the screwdriver, hammer, and the 2 power drill in a wanna-be handyman homeowner's garage. Here are some pros and cons of duct tape. When's the last time you used duct tape on duct?

You have a job. You have a family. These are the most important things in your life. You can't remember the last time you had date with your husband and the last restaurant you ate at had cartoon characters painted on the walls. In the last week, you've been to a well-child doctor visit, volunteered at pre-school and helped 10 scouts make pinecone bird feeders on top of working your full time job, fixing meals, doing laundry, cleaning the house and keeping a smile on your husband's face. ...

There has been a lot of talk about Studio 60 and whether it's going to make alive or not. So far, the network NBC has decided to give it a whole season, which is good since it has some hilarious and dramatic moments in it. Usually it's mistaken for a comedy show, when it really is more of a dramatic show with a touch of comedy. After all the series are about how it's behind the scenes of an SNL look-alike.

This is a classic, probably the oldest on-going show ever. The Simpsons, which we all surely recognize, has an original humor that made millions of fans around the world. It's animation too, so it must have been ultra hard to become "cool", especially in the older days when animation was considered for kids only. But it made and a movie is in production as we speak.

Heroes is a new TV-show about people with supernatural powers. A policeman can hear other peoples thinking, another man can fly, a cheerleader can drop from empire state building and still live, and a Chinese go back and forth in time. Sounds interesting huh? Well, it is. The use of a comic storytelling gives us an authentic view, unlike the already many supernatural shows out there. Within its genre, after Lost and Prison Break, this is the show with the largest fan base.

When 24 started almost 7 years ago, Kiefer Sutherland hesitated whether a series with plots developing within a complete day would work. After having this project back and forth, they ultimately gave it shot. It's so joyful that they did, cause it turned out to be one of the best action shows out there. You would think a show that needs to go through a whole plot within 24 hours wouldn't work and become boring, but it's everything but boring.

Prison Break is probably the show with the most suspenseful plot. In order to save his brother from death penalty, Michael Scofield gets into prison and tries to save him. They say the story is stolen from two guys that wrote a script based on the same premise, although nothing can be said with certainty. Anyhow, the thing is Prison Break is one of the best right now, and by the look of it, it will continue to be.

Lost is the most successful TV-show there ever has been in a very long time. It started out like a scripted Survivor, but when handed to J.J. Abrams, it turned out to more than only people on an island. It has mysterious fogs, big creatures, and a whole group of people called "the others" being their enemies. But that's not the only reasons for Lost's success, because we're able to study the characters at the same time. Through flashbacks and insight into each person, we're able to sympathize...

Disney started out as an animation company with Mickey Mouse and Donald Duck as its main characters. Within few years it grew up to a huge Hollywood studio, producing animation as well as family comedies every week. Today it's beyond that and is the top studio when it comes to films up to the PG-13 limit. Blockbusters like "Pirates of The Caribbean" and "Toy Story" are hard to forget. Not long ago it bought Pixar, and now create the most amazing animation man has seen so far.

Who doesn't know about iPod. It's almost a rule that you must have an iPod. Wherever you go there they are, invading earth with their evil slimness. No, actually they are rightfully popular since they provide okay sound quality, beautiful design and huge space in order for you to add hundreds or thousands of music and movies, depending of how much you spend on it. It's the mp3 of mp3s, but slowly fading out as other brands catch up with it.

YouTube is probably the most recent revolutionary site. It started with few friends creating a way to share videos easily, but to their amazement it didn't just stop there. Soon it was discovered by the public and turned into the greatest video-portal. Why? Mainly because of its community, the different ways to interact with other video makers and get feedback on your own productions. Today it's bought by Google, for a sum I don't even dare to mention here. Actually I do - $1.65 Billion!
