Should the Government impose a tax on SUV's? Why or Why not?

These days, everybody is aware of global warming. Many people try to reduce carbon emissions by cutting back on fuel and changing lifestyle habits. Public transport is suggested as a way forward to reduce the amount of cars on the road and a pathway to a cleaner future. Along with the benefits of public transport, there are many downsides that need to be improved.

Sometimes you have the choice to buy or lease a new car. Sometimes you get the hand me down car. Most of us have had to buy a used car at some point in our lives. When oil hit $80 a barrel, I'm sure a lot of people got interested in hybrid cars. I know a few folks that bought a hybrid as a commuter car so they can use the HOV lanes. If you've never heard of HOV lanes, then consider yourself lucky. I'm not sure if the hybrid cars are economically viable for the manufacturers yet but with the prices coming down as they sell more and more, I'm sure the hybrid cars are here to stay. So for your next car purchase, will you be considering a hybrid car? ...

For many people, buying a car involves choosing a car, going to a dealer, spending some quality time with the salesman, (salesman going back and forth to to "check with his manager) then after a few hours, getting down to the final monthly payment and you walk out with the car. Or some with less patience do it all over the web and go pick up the car after the deal is made all without even seeing anyone from the dealership in person.
