If you find yourself in an abusive relationship, the first thing you need to understand is that you are not alone. Millions of people - both men and women- find themselves in abusive relationships. It's pretty obvious why these relationships aren't healthy but what you might not know is hard it can be to get out, especially if you are married or have children. Many people stay in the hopes that things will change or that they can work it out. In some cases you may be able to convince the abuser that there is a serious problem and they need help. With the proper care they may be able to change and the abuse will stop. In this case you can have the happy life together you want and deserve.
