These are the pros and cons of being a vegetarian.

   veggie

veggie food is actually really good and tastes good too. when you dont eat any meat you also loose some weight. i lost 20 pounds in 6 months. i also wasn't trying to loose weight though. you have way less heart problems and other health problems too.
   vitamins

if you dont eat meat you have to take a lot of vitamins and make sure your iron is high enough. i had a low iron problem and got rushed to the hospital

   Cancer and Heart Attacks

Being a vegitarian you are 50% less likey to get cancer and 40% less likely to have heart problems.

   I WONDER WHY

people say they are always hungry with soy food or vegetarian meals? Well aren't you always hungry even with meat?? I think your just a fat pig who is always hungry!!! If only you knew that the remains of a dead person are in ground beef too! My best friene worked at a meat factory and his hand got caught in the machine and his fingers fell in with the meat!! and they couldn't stop it so they just shipped it off to the fast food resturants! ever since then he stoped working is on diabiliety because he is missing 3 fingers on his right hand!!!!!

   Don't have to put dead animals in my stomach!

I dont want to eat animals when I don't have to. Here's the reasoning (not that you really need to but...) I've been to lots of slaughter houses, intensive animals farms (chickens and pig ones are unbelievable as are the viel) and pie/ processed meat factories. Its just shocking and makes you realise its just killing on a staggering scale. It really opened my eyes. Its like the Matrix or something. The smell of dead pigs as they they go through a hoop of fire to have their hairs singed off will NEVER make me want to eat a bacon sandwitch again. Also seeing how stripped bits of carcasses are put in a 'reclaimer' which is a big screw/ grinder that squeezes stuff that isn't bone out of tiny holes- and they go into sausages and 'formed' meats. Yum!
   No more jerky.

Can't eat any more slim jims.

Whenever we go out to lunch at the office, the choice of restaurants is very limited due to me. Sometimes I feel I'm not asked to lunch because of it.

   Save some rainforest

Consumption of beef leads to clearing rainforest to make grazing land for cattle. 1 hamburger = 55 square feet of rainforest destroyed.
   Can't eat out as much

For a vast majority of restaurants, the highlight of their vegetarian menu items is the salad and soft drink.

   Save water

One pound hamburger = 16 pounds of grain and 2,500 gallons of water to raise the cow. Eat a veggie burger instead and skip the middleman...or middlecow.
   I'm always hungry

I can't ever seem to fill up on some of these soy things. Is it me or do I get hungrier faster after a vegetarian meal?
