This is a classic, probably the oldest on-going show ever. The Simpsons, which we all surely recognize, has an original humor that made millions of fans around the world. It's animation too, so it must have been ultra hard to become "cool", especially in the older days when animation was considered for kids only. But it made and a movie is in production as we speak.

| Homer. |
| Is there any other character out there funnier and weirder than ol' Homer? I don't think so. Homer is the first original "dad" that in a satirical way exploits today's situation. Yes, it's a bit stereotypical, but that's the point. |
| The voices. |
| Did you know that the voices in Simpsons are made by 3-4 persons? Except for the guest voices of course, but otherwise there are some really professional men and women taking care of sounding as fun as possible. |
| The simple animation. |
| I'm tired of everyone trying to create the most nice-looking animation man ever has seen. Futurama tries and I seriously don't find it working. Simpsons concentrate in quality and let the old fashion animation talk for itself, cause it has a certain status quo as well. |
| Unexpected dialogue and happenings. |
| Many shows have followed in Simpsons direction with the so called "random" humor. You never know what the joke will be, because all the sudden Homer might do something totally unexpected and leave us breathless by all the laughing. |
| Change of plot halfway through. |
| I like that the plot is usually changed and entirely different half way through an episode. It might start with the characters having one certain goal and then while trying to accomplish it get into something different and start chasing that goal instead. |
