Disney started out as an animation company with Mickey Mouse and Donald Duck as its main characters. Within few years it grew up to a huge Hollywood studio, producing animation as well as family comedies every week. Today it's beyond that and is the top studio when it comes to films up to the PG-13 limit. Blockbusters like "Pirates of The Caribbean" and "Toy Story" are hard to forget. Not long ago it bought Pixar, and now create the most amazing animation man has seen so far.

Blatent Racism
You don't even need to go far back in Disney films to see the racism. Sure, one can look at The Jungle Book's animal characters, but even newer movies like The Lion King (see the Hyenas) and Mulan (obvious distain for China) are offensive for adults, and subconsciously infiltrate the minds of impressionable youths.

Great stories.
I don't know how Disney manages it, but they sure know how to make some great stories. It's like they own the rights to all suspenseful and fun plots. Of course they have the right kind of budget to support nice stories, so it's maybe not a surprise, but there a many instances when big studios did make mistakes. Luckily, Disney isn't on the top ten of those studios. Yet.

same story
besides the sports docu/dramas and PG-13 action movies, they all have the same old story

Movies for the whole family.
It's hard nowadays to find something appropriate for both you and your family. Either it's too boring, too mild or too scary. Disney movies have managed to find something in between. If you look at 'Pirates of the Caribbean', you'll find it has exactly the doses needed for it to be a nice movie for the kid as well as the grown up. Another example is "National Treasure", smart and suspenseful at the same time, without needing any blood at all.

Nice cast.
Disney works like a magnet for stars. In few productions are there so many famous people acting, directing or writing. The main reason is probably of Disney's projects being great, but probably also because of the nice wallet they end up with. It doesn't matter though, as long as good stuff are made.

Music like nowhere else.
The soundtracks often have a nice melody to them. Disney's classic movies have songs and music that remains popular until today. I find myself sitting with a "Disney's Best Of" and just enjoying the day. Always happy, artistic and catchy, many times with a message to deliver.

Gives kids a false sense of hope
Ok sure Disney gives some good values in life but most are just cheesy sayings that even they know can never happen. Take "Finding Nemo" for instanse no human or fish could last that long in search for their child they would have givin up or sent someone to do it for them. I mean look Marlin had to be travelling for a month at the least and according to the movie he only slept twice and most likely didn't eat. Disney makes childeren think they can do anything if they keep their mind to it. then when real life comes by they realize its impossible and give up. I've seen this in a lot of kids.

Always guaranteed entertainment.
Whatever movie you stop to buy or hire or generally watch, if it got the Disney label on it you can almost be sure to have a fun ride. It doesn't matter if it's a no-name comedy or drama; the sure thing is you will like it. Unless it's a really bad sequel. If you remember the old times when they used to air a new movie every week, and you wondered, how can they come up with these in such a short timeframe? Well, they could, sometimes better than the studios putting down months on a movie.

Very stereotypical and law abiding.
The woman is the one taking care of the home, the man is supposed to be cold and working, the kids are the poor ones with need of some attention from their parents. There you got a short summary of every Disney movie. Even though they make it work, it might get annoying at moments.

Crappy straight to video sequels.
It seems Disney is so desperate that they release any sequel there is to release. Lion King 2, Pocahontas 2, Jungle Book 2, Peter Pan 2, Aladdin 2 and 3, Cinderella 2... the list never stops. Is it a must to make sequels? Why can't they leave a good movie remain a good movie? Anyhow sometimes they nail the sequel as well. Look at Toy Story 2 and... I guess that's it.

Too childish and comedic because of their policy.
You probably all know the policy Disney has, to only make PG- rated films. This has been broken few times, with "Pirates of the Caribbean" for instance, that was PG-13, although they had to squeeze it seriously. The movies become too comedic and you don't really believe in them at some points. It's like they want to make a entertaining movie, without caring how it may affect the plot itself. If a pirate is evil, let him be evil! Don't try to make him happy or fun at times, just to get our mood up in fake ways.

The animation is getting old.
Why do you think the most successful Disney movies are the ones created in cooperation with Pixar? That's because Pixar knows about new animation but still keeping the old values. Disney can't do that by itself, so it ended up buying Pixar.

Old fashioned family values.
This belongs a bit with the stereotypical style Disney has, although it's more about what the kind of message on what's good and wring they tend to give us. Children are not like they were 100 years ago, which Disney seem to think, it's okay to like the other gender and to like video games without being an arrogant spoiled kid.
